Glenbard District 87 will host a free, Spanish-only Zoom webinar on parenting stress and resilience on Thursday, Sept. 17.

The district's GPS Parent Series and Bilingual Parent Advisory Council (B-PAC) will present "Parents Under Pressure: Practical Tools for Navigating Life's Challenges" at 7 p.m. No registration is required.

Erika Quezada, founder and CEO of Lotus Life and Wellness, will lead the session, Shaw Local reported. Quezada is a bilingual mental health and wellness professional with more than 15 years of experience. She specializes in helping people improve their mental health, manage stress and work through personal and professional change, according to the announcement.

Quezada holds a bachelor's degree in clinical psychology and is completing graduate training in integrative health at Notre Dame University, according to her organization's website. She is also a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation, according to a professional profile. Telemundo and the 40 Under 40 program have recognized her for contributions to well-being and mental health.

The webinar will focus on practical strategies for managing parenting stress, building resilience and incorporating mind-body wellness exercises into daily routines. The session is described as grounded in culturally relevant approaches.

B-PAC has served District 87's multilingual families for more than 12 years, offering programs in Spanish, Hindi, Urdu and Gujarati, according to a district spotlight. The GPS Parent Series completed its 30th year during the 2025-2026 school year, according to D87 board meeting records. The series offers more than 50 free programs per year in four languages through virtual, hybrid and in-person formats, with sessions at both noon and 7 p.m.

Gilda Ross, District 87's student and community projects coordinator, manages GPS programming. Ross has spent more than 30 years bringing speakers to the series.
