Downtown Glen Ellyn will fill with pointed hats and cocktail glasses on Thursday, Oct. 15, when the Witches Walk takes over shops and restaurants from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The 21-and-older event costs $25 per person. That ticket covers five three-ounce cocktails, wine samples or unlimited mocktails, plus psychic readings and prize-drawing entries at each participating store, according to Patch.
Ticket sales close at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14. No tickets will be sold the night of the event, and purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable, according to the Alliance of Downtown Glen Ellyn's event page. Tickets are processed through Ticket Tailor via PayPal, though a PayPal account is not required.
The psychic lineup is expanding this year, according to the Alliance's event page. Tarot, palm and astrology readers will be available at walk-up stations throughout the evening at no extra cost. A full list of readers and locations has not been posted.
When buying a ticket, attendees choose a store as their first stop and wristband pickup point. After that, they can visit all participating locations in any order. Alcoholic beverages must stay inside the stores and cannot be carried onto sidewalks.
Each storefront will host a best-dressed witch's hat contest. Winners at each location receive a medal or necklace and two free tickets to the Downtown Glen Ellyn Ladies Night Out event. Separate prize drawings at each store will be announced in the days after the walk.
The downtown Craft Beer Crawl is set for Saturday, Sept. 26, at Beer Cellar, 488 Crescent Blvd., from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
