Southminster Presbyterian Church in Glen Ellyn is hosting a free Trunk or Treat and pet parade on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 680 S Park Blvd.
Trunk-or-treat runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Costumes are encouraged but not required, and attendees do not need a pet to participate, according to the church's event listing on Patch.
Pet owners can check animals in at a marked "Pet table" before 5:25 p.m. for the costume contest. Voting for best pet costume runs from 4 to 5:25 p.m., with prizes for the winners. The pet "Paw-Rade" begins at 5:30 p.m. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier.
If rain cancels the outdoor parade, trunk-or-treat activities move inside. Pet owners can still submit costume photos to [email protected] by Sunday, Nov. 8, for a virtual parade on the church's Facebook page. No costume prizes will be awarded if the outdoor parade is cancelled.
