A full live band performing Elton John classics hits the Belushi Performance Hall stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, as the McAninch Arts Center continues its 40th anniversary season with one of the fall's ticketed shows.

Elton Rohn, an international tribute act led by performer Ron Camilleri, brings costumes, harmonies and a no-backing-tracks policy to the College of DuPage campus in Glen Ellyn. Tickets run $45–$55.

The group has headlined more than 400 shows across the United States, Canada and Barbados. Davey Johnstone, Elton John's longtime guitarist and musical director, has called Elton Rohn "the best '70s Elton John tribute in the world," according to the show's Patch listing. Musical director Len Solomon is a Juno Award-winning musician.

The setlist includes "Tiny Dancer," "Rocket Man," "Bennie and the Jets," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and "Philadelphia Freedom." All musicians play and sing live without backing tracks.

The Oct. 3 show follows the MAC's free 40th anniversary festival on Sunday, Aug. 23, at the Lakeside Pavilion, which will feature '80s cover band Sixteen Candles and family activities. As we reported Aug. 8, that outdoor celebration kicks off the center's milestone season.

MAC director Diana Martinez said in a June 2 season announcement that the 40th anniversary lineup would bring top national and international acts to Glen Ellyn. The fall Performance Series also includes Jim Belushi & The Sacred Hearts Band on Sept. 12, comedian Ana Belaval on Sept. 19, Ballet Hispánico New York on Oct. 10, The Barricade Boys on Oct. 17 and MOMIX: "Botanica" on Nov. 7.
