Lake Foxcroft Park in Glen Ellyn is open again after more than three months of playground construction.
The Glen Ellyn Park District announced on X on Sunday, Oct. 18, that the park at 2S540 Lambert Road had reopened. The district said it was excited to welcome residents back and thanked the community for its patience during the project.
The renovated playground features green-and-tan play structures with slides, climbing elements, a rock-climbing structure and swings on a wood-chip surface surrounded by trees.
The park district's online directory noted renovations were set to begin July 6. The playground and surrounding areas were closed and fenced off for safety during construction. The directory had pointed residents to gepark.org/projects for updates.
The park is open now at 2S540 Lambert Road in Glen Ellyn.
