Glen Ellyn residents can cast their ballots starting Monday, Oct. 19, at the Civic Center, 535 Duane St.
The Village of Glen Ellyn announced on X that the Civic Center will serve as an early voting site for the Nov. 3 general election. The location will be open every day through Monday, Nov. 2.
Weekday hours run 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
The Civic Center is one of 23 permanent early voting locations across DuPage County that open Oct. 19, according to the DuPage County Election Division. Temporary county locations have offered early voting since Sept. 24, but with shorter weekday hours and limited Saturday availability.
Permanent sites are open seven days a week and offer evening hours on weekdays that the temporary sites did not.
Voter registration deadline is Oct. 18
Illinois residents who are not yet registered have until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, to register, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections as reported by Shaw Local.
Lombard Village Hall won't be a polling place Nov. 3
Lombard residents can vote early at 350 Yorktown Shopping Center during the same hours as the Glen Ellyn Civic Center.
One detail Lombard voters should know for Election Day: Lombard Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave., will not serve as a polling place for the Nov. 3 election, according to a Village of Lombard notice. Polling places across the county will be open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day.
DuPage County's Vote Anywhere program allows registered voters to cast a ballot at any Election Day polling place in the county, regardless of home precinct, the Lombard notice states.
Voters can look up their assigned polling location and check registration status through the Glen Ellyn election information page or the DuPage County Election Division website.
